In Sweden, the absolute closure of schools during the pandemic was relaxed after some time. Students were allowed to come to school every third day, and classes were held in two classrooms at the same time whenever possible.

During this period, the literature project "Shakespeare and his time" was realized. The students had the opportunity to create videos of individual scenes in small groups, which are shown here.

The project was very well received by the students (17 years old), who suffered from social distancing during the Covid restrictions and very much welcomed the work in small groups and in out-of-school places.

The lecturers and students at Vytautas Magnus University, Institute of Foreign Languages, have used this material to generate activities for teaching literature.

On in-class days, students worked on the text and received information about the Elizabethan Age.

On out-of-school days, students worked in groups on their films, with us teachers supervising the groups and supporting them via google meet as needed.
